63. Guest Interview with JoAnne - Surviving the Silent Killer

Shannon and Jess Episode 63

Join us for a heartfelt conversation as JoAanne shares her inspiring survival journey with our hosts and listeners. Diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which is often referred to as “the silent killer,” JoAanne initially attributed her pain to a pulled abdominal muscle. After numerous medical consultations and tests, she received the life-altering news that she had cancer. Faced with this daunting reality, her first reaction was one of despair, feeling “screwed.” However, that quickly transformed into a fierce determination to fight back against her diagnosis.

Her tumor was pressing on her colon, which explained the discomfort she was experiencing – a twist of fate that ultimately saved her life. A blood test revealed an alarming level of ovarian cancer antigens in her system, with over 8,000 detected when the normal range is under 35. Yet, through perseverance and the addition of a supportive supplement during her treatment, JoAanne witnessed a remarkable decrease in those numbers. Her latest lab results showed a significant drop to just 22.

JoAanne’s unwavering positive attitude has become a cornerstone of her daily life, reminding us all of the power of hope and resilience. Tune in to hear her incredible story and the lessons she's learned along the way.
