55. Guest Interview with Angel - Strongest Mama Alive
In this powerful narrative, we witness a mother's journey of triumphing over fear with love. Angel and her husband Garrett faced the heart-wrenching challenges of infertility before finally conceiving through IVF. Their first pregnancy seemed promising, but tragically, their son Nolan was born prematurely at 20 weeks and passed away shortly after birth. Angel faced a life-threatening situation during this time, but emerged from it determined to try again.
Their second pregnancy, also through IVF, ended in the loss of their daughter Brooklyn at 19 weeks due to complications from an infection. It was then that Angel was diagnosed with an incompetent cervix, a condition that threatened future pregnancies. With careful monitoring and a solid plan in place, Angel and Garrett courageously embarked on a third round of IVF.
Despite the challenges, Angel's determination paid off when she gave birth to Grant at 25 weeks, surpassing the viability milestone for premature babies. Tragically, Grant lived for just 22 minutes, leaving Angel and Garrett devastated once more. In the face of unimaginable loss, Angel found solace in honoring her children's memories.
She launched a GoFundMe campaign to provide hospitals with CuddleCots™, devices that allow families to spend more time with their stillborn babies. Through this initiative, Angel and Garrett aim to support other grieving parents and ensure that hospitals have the resources to offer compassionate care.
This episode sheds light on the profound impact of CuddleCots™ and why Angel and Garrett advocate for their widespread availability. To contribute to their cause and help them fulfill their mission, please consider donating to their fundraiser at Fundraiser by Angel Carter : A wish to Grant-Support Angel & Garrett's CuddleCot Donation (gofundme.com)
